Porchjam was built in New Orleans, as a lasting gift to the city that embodies American authenticity. The history of New Orleans is one defined by its openness to the world, and the harmony of spirits that have passed through here. Our distillery is a return to that promise, harmonizing cultures and traditions of spirit, with invention and new-age technologies, building a truly world-class distillery in the heart of the city of New Orleans.

Our production processes and techniques represent a fusion of European heritage and American invention. Porchjam was founded by Gordon Stewart, a Scotsman who grew up in Glasgow, amidst a landscape defined by distilling. We have harmonized the practices of the old country with those of the new world, within a distillery of people and production, capable of creating global standard spirits. Our focus is on absolute quality, authenticity and transparency within everything we make. We treat distillation as reverence.

Our distillery features full grain to glass production, built around a full hybrid system, custom designed. We manage all grain handling, milling, mashing, fermentation and distilling processes onsite. Porchjam is a fully configured and scalable commercial distillery. Our still house operates with traditional pot stills, whiskey columns and full 24-plate vodka columns with full automation, enabling the production of diverse spirits to the most exacting standards.
