Bolden Vodka is a premium, European-style vodka produced from grain-to-glass, at Porchjam Distillery, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bolden Vodka is manufactured from a grain recipe of the finest quality ingredients, containing no additives or neutral spirit. Column distilled to exacting specifications, Bolden Vodka is distilled right the first – and only – time, for a complex and refined experience that may be enjoyed equally at home straight, on the rocks, or in your favorite cocktail.

Bolden Vodka is made in the heart of New Orleans at Porchjam Distillery-Louisiana’s largest distillery. New Orleans is historically known for being a great producer of culture, music, food and spirits. Thus there is no better place from which to have the next great American vodka hail.

Vodka is produced from any starch or sugar rich plant matter. Traditionally it is produced from cereal grains such as wheat, barley or rye but it can also be produced from other ingredients  such as corn or potatoes. The grains are milled and then combined with hot water in a mash tun. This process allows enzymes within the malted cereal seed to break down starches into sugar which are then fermented with yeast to create alcohol. At this point in the process, you have created a high beer. The distiller’s beer is then run through the still to a minimum of 190 proof from which it is brought down to the desired 80 proof with reverse osmosis water and filtered to create a clean flavor and mouth feel.

According to the FDA, any product that contains wheat or barley may not be labeled as gluten free. However, during the distillation process gluten proteins are left behind or removed from the final product. As such, all distilled spirits are gluten free and safe for consumption in individuals with celiac disease according to the Celiac Disease Foundation.

Bolden Vodka is not certified organic. However, our wheat and barley are 100% GMO free.

Bolden is sold in bars and restaurants in Louisiana, or by appointment at the distillery.
